Farm of the Year

Established in 2015, EFNS is proud to award one egg farm with the annual Farm of the Year award. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in industry programs, as well as industry engagement and participation in public outreach activities. The award is presented at the Egg Farmers of NS Annual General Meeting.

2016 Farm of the Year

The 2016 Farm of the Year award went to Cornwallis Farms located in Port Williams. Cornwallis Farms is a tenth generation multi-commodity farm known for their environmental sustainability and their dedication and contributions to the surrounding community.

2015 Farm of the Year

Farm of the Year for 2015 was awarded to Bayview Poultry Farms in Masstown, NS. Bayview is owned and operated by Glen Jennings and his son Blake. Their farm is widely recognized for their "green" eggs- using wind power to operate the majority of their farm, reducing their carbon footprint.

2014 Farm of the Year

The Thomas family of Scotia Poultry in Cole Harbour, NS was presented with the inaugural Farm of the Year award.
